We have known Charlie for a lifetime, Maggie was a mate of Lin's and Charlie a mate of Dave's so when they got together it was natural for the four of us to pal up. Later on when we both had 3 daughter's, Claire, Catherine & Bizzy for Charlie and Maggie and Emma-Louise, Zara-Jane & Carrie-Marie for us, the girls loved to play together when small. Charlie always made the girls giggle with his antics! Carrie=Marie's funniest memory was of coming home from Ashbury in Charlie's taxi, we'd been to a party and Carrie-Marie had an armful of balloons, we couldn't all fit in the car with the balloons in tow so Carrie-Marie travelled home with the balloons in the boot minus the parcel shelf! No health and safety back then! Charlie was very much part of our lives back in the day. Lost contact when we moved to Devon so hadn't seen him in a long while but we will never forget those early days. Rest in peace mate. xxx
